Former President of Pakistan Muhammad Mian  Soomro  graced the occasion and distributed the prizes.  Lt.Gen (R) Zaheer ul Islam  President Golf Federation ,AVM Salman  Aslam  Bukhari , Maj Gen Shahzad Naeem Khan, Brig (R) Nayyar, Honorary Secretary PGF, Mr. Asad I.A.Khan President Sindh Golf  Association and His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim al Hijazi Council General  of  Bahrain were also present on the occasion. The event  was also  attended by the various  dignitaries of Karachi.

 PGF and SGF further announced that for the next 5 years annual Championship will be sponsored by Acacia Country and  Golf Club. It was announced that Acacia future plan includes hosting the Asian Championship in 2018 and followed by European Championship 2019 as Acacia Golf Club would be fully commissioned by 2017.
 
The Acacians have taken upon themselves to bring Pakistan first ever Golf Academy.
Acacia Country & Golf Club is spread over 158 Acres, an 18-hole par 72, designed to perfection by Schmidt Curley in collaboration with Tony Taylor - the founder and Executive Director of Quality Golf in Thailand, who also provides multi-service golf forums in Asia. Their portfolio contains golf courses and country clubs spread out over Thailand, Singapore, China and Hong Kong and have executed mega projects with great names like Jack Nicklaus.

Acacia  43rd All Pakistan Open Golf Championship ended in a blaze of glory for prolific golfer Muhammad  Munir of the Islamabad, who defeated challenger Muhammad Matloob of the Lahore Garrison Golf Club  by two shots in exciting finish at the Airmen Golf Club Korangi Creek Karachi on Sunday.
